Executive Summary
This research study report aims is to examine India, to evaluate the possibility of Blake @ International investing in India for a new manufacturing operation to hedge against the predominant risks against rising costs in China. This report comprehensively addressed issues relating to different business aspects, and comparison had been done hand in hand with China.

Further evaluation of country level indicators can be found in the appendices. KEY FINDINGS:
India’s technological sector continues to strive but infrastructure is lagging in contrast
India is currently experiencing tremendous growth in the technological sector, but the infrastructure sectors in India are not performing in coherence with the technological sector. India being anticipated as the next manufacturing and technological powerhouse fails to prove its worth. “Black Tuesday” which occurred in August 2012 further enforced this point. . “An Indian company can face up to 17 power disruptions in a mon th.” India’s economy will not be able to experience forecasted growth. China on the other hand tells a different story.

Corruption are rampant, India’s democracy said to be run on corruption Corruption is rampant in India, UPA was expected to hasten economic reforms, but with allegations of corruption, they are unable to achieve political consensus in the country. Trends of regionalism further caused lower popularity in UPA. No major economic reforms are implemented despite being proposed but boldness of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to propose new reform measures deserves recognition. Economic Landscape: Moderate Market potential, Economic policies such as tighten Monetary policy proposed and implemented. Stunning rate of inflation deters investors. Political Landscape: Lowering of popularity of INC, policy paralysis is evident. Financial Landscape: Increased potential of banking sectors and attractive repatriation/taxation package in the short run.
