Auto smart – A new point of view:
Module 1 – What is fuel efficiency and why is it important 1) Carbon Dioxide is a green house gas because it transmits visible light but absorbs strongly in the infrared and nearly-infrared. 2) The climate change is creating congestion and increasing urbanisation. Module 2 – Fuel efficient driving
1) In order to be more fuel efficient you may buy a car that is easy on gas and not a gas guzzler, you can carpool with someone so they aren’t using their gas and you’re using yours. Try to do many trips at once so you don’t have to keep going out and wasting gas, turn off your car when you’re not using it. Walk, take a bus or train. 2) You have better gas mileage, are helping the environment, and can save money on gas. 3) Less fuel means paying less money for gas.
Module 3 – The importance of proper maintenance
1) Your vehicle should be maintained and checked every 5000km 2) There are pressure checks at some gas stations. Also, they sell little devices to check. You may buy these at Canadian Tire. 3) Wiper fluid, spare tire, tire patch, spare oil, tools to change a tire 4) Get your car’s maintenance checked before the winter, you can get winter tires or chains on your tires. Make sure your heat and windshield wipers are working for safety. Module 4 – Choosing the right vehicle for your everyday needs 1) -Every three months change the oil, the oil filter and air filter. -Every 6 months change the Fuel filter if accessible.
-Every 12 months check spark plug wire and the PCV valve and replace if necessary. -Every 18 months replace the spark plug wire.
-Every 2 years drain and refill the radiator with appropriate coolant. -Every 161 kilometres change the timing belt or chain
2) They are now making smart cars which run on electricity. They are also making most new cars hybrid so they’re better on gas and less harsh on the environment. 3) Ask about maintenance and gas consuming prices, the safety it will provide, and...
